中国灯笼把皞峇灯漆上红色来结束农历新年庆祝活动

2000多盏灯笼将会在今晚点亮皞峇灯市政厅,以庆祝农历新年的结束。
More than 2,000 lanterns will light up the Hobart City Hall tonight to celebrate the end of the Lunar New Year.
塔斯马尼亚中国花灯节采用了大盏的红色灯笼,以及在中国制造的、细小的红色和黄色的灯笼。
The Tasmania Chinese Lantern Festival is using large red lanterns, as well as smaller red and yellow lanterns that were made in China.
华灯是在去年初次展开的活动。
The lanterns were first showcased at last year's inaugural event.

The significance of the lanterns is that they bring good luck to the community when lit up.

Tasmanian Chinese Business Association vice-president Jason Zhe Xu said the Chinese Lantern Festival was the end of the Chinese Lunar New Year.
从去年的户外活动,至今年转移到一座历史性的大礼堂,使社会各界对天气变化能有良好的准备。
The move from an outdoor event last year to a historical hall has enabled the community to prepare for weather changes.

徐先生告诉ABC 936皞峇灯RYK Goddard,他感到幸运挑选到这座正确的地方,这样便不用担忧天气(的变化)了。
Mr Xu told 936 ABC Hobart's Ryk Goddard, he felt lucky to have picked the right place so that there was no need to worry about the weather.
“[祂]是家人团聚,我们称之为最后的晚餐,然后大家回到工作岗位去,”徐先生说。
"[It] is the family reunion, we call it the last dinner and then everybody goes back to work," Mr Xu said.
娱乐包括著名的舞狮、用大鼓来进行传统中国舞蹈和音乐、中国的摇滚乐队、现场书法、剪纸和折叠,以及变脸。
Entertainment includes the Famous Lion Dance, traditional Chinese dancing and music with a large drum, a Chinese rock band, live calligraphy, paper-cutting and folding, and face-mask changing.
一个特殊的中国食品、汤圆,正在作准备,以便与所有与会者分享。
A special Chinese food item, sweet rice balls, is being prepared to be shared with all attendees.
很多志愿者已在为此节日作准备,标志此项为期15天的农历新年庆祝活动的结束。
Many volunteers have put the festival together to mark the end of the 15-day Lunar New Year celebrations.
花灯节主席Tony Hope说,中国社会对此节目是充满热情。
Chairman of the Lantern Festival Tony Hope said the Chinese community was passionate about the festival.
“为了看到精彩的表演、他们的热情和愉悦,令我想到,他们(中国人们)把一个如此美好的文化带来塔斯马尼亚州,”他说。
"To see the wonderful performances, the passion and the pleasure that they have and I think what a wonderful culture they bring in to Tasmania," he said.
“在空气中,有如此浓郁的兴奋!这将会是一个美好的盛会。”
"There's so much excitement in the air, it's going to be a wonderful event."
约1000人将参加这项在下午6点开始的免费入场活动。
About 1,000 people are expected to attend the free admission event starting at 6pm.
