Thank you for your participation in the recent workshop Reporting Prejudice Motivated Violence: reporting is the key to change. We hope the TCBAA sangha members found something of benefit from the presentation, as we did.
I was very saddened to see that there have been difficulties caused for you and the sangha because of some reporting on ABC's 7.30 Report.
You have done the best thing by seeking legal advice. It is a very difficult situation and you have approached it with restraint and consideration and compassion for the sangha member involved.
Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
Just as an aside, The Brahma Kumaris were defamed internationally on Wikipedia. Someone was able to write up defamatory statements about the organisation being a cult etc and we weren't able to have it removed for about 10 years. However, we continued the work we were doing with the UN and Religions for Peace International and after some time, were able to remove it.
