房總領事表示，今年是中國人民抗日戰爭暨世界反法西斯戰爭勝利80周年，中國戰場是世界反法西斯戰爭的東方主戰場，為世界反法西斯勝利作出了重大貢獻。新中國成立76年以來，中國經濟社會實現跨越式發展，躋身創新型國家行列，堅定支持經濟全球化和貿易自由化，為人類發展進步作出了重要貢獻。中澳建交以來，中方始終珍視中澳友誼，願同澳方一道，推動兩國關係超越穩定、向前發展。
致辭嘉賓表示，新中國成立76年來發展成就舉世矚目，中澳建交53年來合作成果豐碩，華人社區在促進澳經濟社會文化發展、中澳交流合作方面發揮了重要作用。
Consul General Fang Xinwen Attends the Celebrations for the 76th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China, the 53rd Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations Between China and Australia and the 5th Anniversary Celebration of Australia-China Commerce and Industry Alliance
On August 23, Consul General Fang Xinwen attended and delivered a speech at a celebration jointly organized by the National Council of Australian Federal Chinese Associations from Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos and Australia China Commerce and Industry Alliance to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the 53rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Australia, and the 5th anniversary of the Australia China Commerce and Industry Alliance. Over 200 people attended the event, including Victorian MPs John Mullahy and Eden Foster, Deputy Chairperson of the Victorian Multicultural Commission Bwe Thay, and Hong Shaoping, Chairman of the National Council of Australian Federal Chinese Associations from Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.
Consul General Fang stated that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. The Chinese battlefield was the main battlefield in the East of the World Anti-Fascist War and made significant contributions to the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War. Since the founding of the People's Republic of China 76 years ago, China has achieved fast economic and social development, joining the ranks of innovative countries. China firmly supports economic globalization and trade liberalization, making significant contributions to human development and progress. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Australia, China has always cherished the China-Australia friendship and is willing to work with Australia to promote the stability and forward development of bilateral relations.
The guest speakers stated that the development achievements of the People's Republic of China in the 76 years since its founding have attracted worldwide attention, and that China and Australia have achieved fruitful cooperation results in the 53 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations. The Chinese community has played an important role in promoting Australia's economic, social and cultural development and China-Australia exchanges and cooperation.
