【Most Venerable Anuruddha Thero進行 Theravada唱誦儀規】

最尊貴的　薄伽梵　智及維摩詰──研究院院長、世界佛教青年僧伽會會長和怛荼羅乘佛教的無上宗師，

貴賓們，

法內的兄弟、姐妹們：

Most Venerable Bhagavan Zhi-Ji Vimalakirti, the president of Academy, President of World Buddhist Sangha Youth and Supreme Patriarch of Tantrayana Buddhism,

Honourable Guests,

Brothers and Sisters in Dharma,

我們很高興今天來到這裡，參與研究院的第三屆紀念。

We are very happy to be here today to join the Academy 3^rd Anniversary. 

佛法分三、四、五部份──小乘、怛荼羅乘、金剛乘、大乘。我們的修行方法有別，但我們是一體的──一佛、一法、一僧，我們是一體的。我們是一家。

Buddhism have three parts, four, five parts, Theravada, Tantrayana, Vajrayana, Mahayana, we practice different ways, but we are one.  One Buddha, one Dharma, one Sangha, we are together one.  We are one family.

今天，現在，事實上，　師尊和我們一起推廣世界佛教青年僧伽會，祂也是與這個研究院有關的。我們嚐試令祂們一起合作，和建立不同傳統的僧伽（〝僧伽〞的意思是〝佛教和尚〞）之間的團結。

Today, now, actually the Master and us promote World Buddhist Sangha Youth together, it is related to this Academy too.  We trying to get them work together and establish the unity of the Sangha (Sangha meaning Buddhist monks), of different traditions.

師尊是我們全世界的靈性導師。其實，我們世界佛教青年僧伽會現在成為了聯合國文化與宗教部份註冊的組織。我們在我們的協會中，有四十七個會員國。

Master is our spiritual leader around the world.  World Buddhist Sangha Youth, actually we are now registered with the United Nations under cultural and religious section.  We have 47 countries member in our society.

今年，我們將於斯里蘭卡舉行第八屆年會。事實上，我們的總部目前在斯里蘭卡。我們也希望今年把我們的總部和永遠［註冊地址？］，在今年即將來臨的十月份轉移到塔州。我們把我們的總部轉交給澳洲。

This year, we are going to have the 8^th General Conference in Sri Lanka. Actually, our Headquarters is in Sri Lanka at the moment.  We also like to transfer our Headquarters and permanent [registry?] to Tasmania this year, in the coming October.  We hand over our Headquarters to Australia.

師尊　薄伽梵　智及維摩詰有這個好機會。這是歷史性的，也是對塔州人好的。塔州是在澳洲。澳洲是多元文化和多宗教的國家，它不僅僅是一個和平的國家。

Master Bhagavan Zhi-Ji Vimalakirti get this good opportunity.  This is historical and good to Tasmanian.  Tasmania is in Australia. Australia is a multicultural and multi-religious country.  Not only that it is a peaceful country. 

而我們希望這個研究院給社會的人們、給佛教團體帶來美好的服務。我們想，這個研究院未來不僅僅會在澳洲，而且會在全世界，弘揚如何生活。

And we wish this Academy do wonderful service to the community of people, community of Buddhism.  We think this Academy’s future will not only be in Australia, but all around the world, propagating how to live our lives.

佛教其實不是一個宗教。佛教、佛法是關於如何生活的。後來，佛教成為了宗教。我們的宗教，是對我們生活的認識。

Buddhism is actually not a religion.  Buddhism, Buddha’s teachings is how to live our lives. Later Buddhism become a religion.   Our religion is the understanding of how we live.

其實，我知道澳洲人之中，不是有很多佛教徒。但您們的生活，就是佛教徒的生活。事實上，您們是真正的佛教徒。因為您們不是殺很多動物、您們不說謊、您們不偷盜、您們不做很多淫事、您們不時常喝醉──有時會有點醉。

Actually I know that Australian people, not much Buddhist, but your daily lives you are living Buddhist way.   Actually you are the real Buddhist people.   Because you not kill much animal, you never do lie, you never stealing, you never do many bad sexual thing, you don’t get drunk much ── sometimes a little bit.

我想，這個是與您們國家的氣候有關的。

I think this one is because of the weather of your country.

但您們是過著真的佛教生活，您們在修持。昨天，我跟　師尊講了關於氣候的問題，但您們很幸運，（生活）簡單而安靜。

But you are living the real Buddhist way.  You are practicing.  Yesterday I talk to the Master about weather’s problems, but you are lucky, simple and quiet. 

您可以見到亞洲和一些其他的國家，很吵的。但如果您在澳洲，有時是看不到人的。我在大約十年之前來到澳洲時，我看不到（街上有）人，人們都安靜地留在家裡，各各做自己的工作。

You see Asia and some other countries, they are, very noisy.  But sometimes when you are in Australia, you cannot see people.  When I came to Australia about 10 years ago, I never see people, inside house, very quiet.  And they practice their own work. 

佛陀教導人們如何生活。我們有八正道、四聖諦。這是我們的生活方式。今天，我們很高興。我們希望您們每一位都長壽、健康、日常辦事成功。不好的東西不要來，好事來臨到您們每一位之中。佛保護您們、法與僧保護您們，您們也要保護自己。

Buddha teaches how to live to people.  We have Four Noble Truths and Eight Paths. This is the way of our lives.  Today we are happy.  We wish all of you get long life, good health, success in your daily lives.  Bad things go away, good things come to all of you.  Buddha protect you, Dharma, Sangha protect you and you protect yourselves.

我希望　師尊長壽、健康和有很多的力量為社會工作。祂活躍地為澳洲、塔州的社會服務。我希望以後祂獲得諾貝爾和平獎。祂是高貴的。我們希望祂長壽。（請給祂）全力的支持。謝謝您們。

I wish Master long life, good health, good energy to work to the community. He serves the community in Australia, Tasmania, dynamic service.  Future we hope he will get the Noble Peace I wish.  He is a noble man. We wish him long life.  Full assistance to him.  Thank you. 

我想呼籲所有的澳大利亞、塔斯馬尼亞政府給祂更多的幫助來為社會工作，以及保護祂。這個社會便會很和平了。

I like to appeal to all the Australian, Tasmanian Government, give him more assistant to work to the society, and protect him.   And this society will be very peaceful.

佛教徒會和平。我們盡力而為，令世界團結。

To the Buddhist people peaceful.  We try our best to make unity around the world.

和平，我們講到和平，我們首先要令我們自己和平，然後，令全世界和平。我們不令自己和平，便無法令世界和平了。

Peace, we talk about peace, we make ourselves peaceful first, then we make the world peaceful.  We cannot make worldwide peace without making ourselves peaceful.

我的英語不是很好，這不是我的語言。但很感謝您。我為我所做的錯誤道歉。我們祝願您們每一個人幸運。

My English not good, it is not my language.  But thank you very much.  I apologise for any mistakes I have made.  We wish all of you good luck.
