Good evening everyone.  Xin nian kuai le (happy Chinese Lunar New Year).

各位晚安。中國新年快樂。

 

I am standing here to share with all of you a letter of congratulations from The Consulate General of The People’s Republic of China in Melbourne.

我在此與諸位分享來自中華人民共和國駐墨爾本總領事館的賀信。

We are delighted to learn of your academy’s upcoming banquet of harmony to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year.  On behalf of The Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Melbourne, I wish to extend our heart-felt congratulations to you, as well as our warmest seasonal greetings to our Chinese friends in Tasmania!  Wishing everyone auspiciousness in their Year of the Ram, with happiness and good health.

欣聞貴院即將舉辦新春和諧團拜晚宴。我謹代表中國駐墨爾本總領事館表示熱烈祝賀，並向塔州僑胞致以節日的問候！祝廣大僑胞羊年吉祥，幸福安康。

 

Your Academy has been promoting Chinese Buddhist culture in Tasmania for many years now, through your tireless participation within the Chinese multicultural community as well as your active participation in the editorial work for the Year Book of Chinese in Australia.  You have contributed greatly towards the mutual understanding between the Chinese and Australian people.  We sincerely wish that through future progress and continued efforts, your academy will continue to make even greater contribution towards the exchange and cooperation between China and Tasmania.

貴院多年來在塔州傳播中國佛教文化，積極參與塔州多元文化社區建設，積極參加《澳大利亞華人年鍳》編發工作，為增進中澳人民相互了解做出了重要的貢獻。衷心希望貴院發揚成績，繼續努力，為中國與塔斯馬尼亞州的交流與合作做出更大貢獻！
